Newton St Cyres is a railway station in Devon. Unlike its name suggests, it is actually in the village of Sweetham, with Newton St Cyres itself a 15 minute walk away.

Newton St Cyres has one platform, accessed via a lane off Station Road.

Although the platform is very long, due to its low height, trains will only stop adjacent to the Harrington Hump.

Facilities Edit

There is a waiting shelter on the platform.

There are no ticket purchasing facilities; passengers must buy on the train; at their destination or interchange station.

Services Edit

Trains to Exeter/Exmouth run from right to left as passengers face the track; trains to Barnstaple run from left to right.

Newton St Cyres is a request stop. Passengers wishing to alight must tell the conductor on the train; passengers wishing to board must signal to the driver.

Due to need for the train to align with the Harrington Hump, passengers can only board or alight through one door near the front of the train. Passengers travelling to Newton St Cyres must be travelling in the front carriage of the train only.
