About[]

Opened in 2015, Newcourt is one of the newest stations opened on the National Rail network, opened to serve an expanding residential area, Sandy Park Rugby Ground (home of Exeter Chiefs RFC), and a proposed IKEA store.

Layout[]

Newcourt has one platform, accessed from either Jack Sadler Way or Libery Way.

Facilities[]

There is a waiting shelter on the platforn, which houses a self service ticket machine.

Services[]

Trains to Exeter run right to left as passengers face the track, and trains to Exmouth run left to right.

All trains stop at Newcourt

Bus Connections and PlusBus.[]

There are no bus connections at Newcourt.

Newcourt is not a PlusBus station.

Special ticketing.[]

Newcourt is in the following Rover areas:

  • Devon Ranger/Devon Evening Ranger
  • Freedom of Devon and Cornwall
  • Freedom of the South West

Penalty Fares[]

Newcourt is not a Penalty Fare station.

Special Rugby Match Arrangements[]

When rugby matches are played at Sandy Park, special operating arrangements are in place.

Before the match, some services may not stop at Newcourt, but call at Digby and Sowton instead.

After full time, services that call at Newcoirt operate pick up only in the Emouth direction; services towards Exeterwill not call. Passengers for services to Exeter must instead walk to nearby Digby and Sowton station.
